Contract Research is conducted on a year-round basis, in the areas of chemicals for control of pathogens and pests, amendments for plant production including fertilizer, media surfactants, and growth regulators and evaluation of cultivars for resistance to plant pathogens. Other projects are considered for post-harvest problems and field-grown ornamentals. Areas covered include management of diseases on all types of ornamentals including bedding plants, potted flowers, cut foliage, cut flowers, foliage plants, ground covers, herbs and perennials.
Chase News is a monthly newsletter that contains a variety of articles ranging from disease alerts to industry news and meeting highlights. Both cultural and chemical controls are covered in many articles.
Diagnostics is available to growers, nurseries and landscape companies throughout the United States. Diagnosis of fungal, bacterial, viral and environmental problems is done quickly (usually in 7 days). Chase Horticultural Research not only finds the problem but gives customized concrete solutions based on our long experience in the field and greenhouse.
Writing and Editing
in both technical and popular formats are offered and include preparation of manuscripts with color illustrations as required. Source materials on diseases of ornamentals and native plants are also available.
Seminars
on the following subjects are offered: diagnosis, cultural and chemical disease management, abiotic disorders, bacterial, viral and fungal diseases of ornamental plants. Special workshops can be designed appropriate to any audience. All fees are negotiable.
